LIA Newsletter 13

Welcome to the November 6th edition of the LIA Newsletter 13. In this post you’ll see my latest editions to the shops that feature my photography, the most recent sales of that art, and learn a bit about how the last week has gone in my life.
New Listings

This photograph of Montana’s Clearwater River is one I took while on a photography class in October, 2021.

I took this photo while driving around Sheridan County in northeastern Montana, way back in 2011.
While not “new” listings, per se, I renewed seven 2026 calendar listings including Ohio Barns, Hunks, Flowers from my Garden, British Sports Cars, Idaho Grain Elevators, Montana Ghost Towns, and US National Parks. You can find all of my 2026 calendars here:

What’s Going On
This has been a difficult week for me, so this column won’t be very long. While I was in West Virginia, I began having a persistent pain in my left jaw. Sometimes it felt like someone had just punched me in the jaw, and sometimes it felt like a sharp toothache. Sometimes I barely noticed it at all.
I treated the discomfort with anbusol and ibuprofin, grinning and bearing it. Yesterday, I was finally able to see my dentist. X-rays and a cat scan showed no problems with my teeth, thank God. Best guess is that I have either a sinus infection or an infection from an old root canal that hasn’t completely healed. For now I’m on amoxicillan three times a day and we’ll see how (if) that helps.
A Book Recommendation
One good thing to come from this, when I found myself in too much pain to sit at the computer, I could relax in the recliner and read. This allowed me to finish listening to Dan Brown’s Secret of Secrets. Twenty-two hours on Audible. The story is compelling, and leads to a conclusion that I did not expect. I HIGHLY recommend the book, whether you pick up a book, or do as I did and listen to it.
Another Recommendation
I also read (on my Kindle) Michelle Vernal’s O’Mara’s. This was a good antidote to Brown’s very serious opus. It was, as my mother would say, “Light and Frivolous.” A charming story set in a Dublin guest house. Again, highly recommended.
Recent Sales

On October 29th, a customer in Oklahoma bought this 11 oz mug with a red handle and interior.

On November 1st, a customer in Oregon bought this image of the Yaquina Bay Bridge as a digital download. I do not, as a rule, offer my photography digitally, in fact this is one of only four such offerings in my shops.

On November 1st, a customer in North Carolina bought this 15 oz mug with a black handle and interior.

Also on November 1st, a customer in Wisconsin bought this 15 oz all white mug.
Thanks for spending this time with LIA Newsletter 13. If you missed number 12, you can read it here. Have a great weekend and I’ll be writing you next Thursday.
