Local Yokels 2019

The link below will take you to the portfolio of photographs I took at the 2019 Local Yokels Car and Truck Show in Plains, Montana. To see the cars, trucks, and one motorcycle in the show on my RedBubble page, click here. Note that all images shown on RedBubble are available for purchase in a variety of formats. Want wall art? A new coffee mug or shower curtain? Even t-shirts and miniskirts are available on RedBubble with the image of your choice. You can also click below to order the book I made for the show for yourself.

Two of the vehicles in the portfolio show up on my Classic Car of the Day page. A beautiful red 1953 Oldsmobile on March 21st, and a great 1973 Ford Pickup on March 24th.

Also, this lovely 1948 Plymouth Business Coupe showed up at the 2019 Local Yokels Car and Truck Show.

Many more beautiful (and some not so beautiful) cars and trucks showed up for the 2019 Local Yokels Car and Truck Show. This was the fourth year Ripples Ice Cream Parlour and the Plains NAPA Auto Parts store sponsored the show. Ripples now has a new owner and we do not know if there will be a 2020 show. Or, for that matter, if we can even get together to have such a show with the current health crisis.

My Show Car

I did not show my 1948 Frazer at the 2019 show, but I did have it at the 2016 and 2017 shows. In case you don’t recognize that marque, the Frazer was an American luxury car. The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation based in Willow Run, Michigan, built them for five years. After World War II, Henry J. Kaiser, who made a fortune building war ships, decided to build automobiles. He partnered with Joseph W. Frazer. Frazer insisted on having his name on a car. In my adult life, I have seen three Frazers. I own two of them.

  1. I was recommended this blog by way of my cousin. I’m not sure whether or
not this publish is written through him as no one else realize
such specific approximately my difficulty. You’re wonderful!

    Thanks!

P.S. If you have a minute, would love your feedback on my new
    website
re-design. You can find it by searching for «royal cbd»
    — no sweat if you can’t.

    Keep up the good work!

    • Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you. I think I answered your question about your site with my reply to another post of mine. I like your site very much. It is clear and well laid out, and the links work well. The only suggestion I have is to add more graphics to break up all the text.

  2. 1 star
Having read this I believed it was extremely enlightening.
I appreciate you finding the time and energy to put this short article
together. I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time both reading and
commenting. But so what, it was still worth it!
